TAKING HEED
Take heed unto thyself, and unto thy doctrine; continue in them: for
in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear thee.
(1Timothy. 4:16) It is pathetic and worrisome to see in our days how
believers no longer mind what they do and how they live.
The common slogan around is “God sees my heart and nothing I do
outside matters”. But, was that the original plan of God for His
creations? No.
Why then are we erring from God’s plans and purposes? It is simply due
to our care-free attitude in not subjecting ourselves to check and
balances as written(Logos) in the scriptures.
The Amplified version of the bible is so explicit in this
interpretation, it said “Look well to yourself (to your own
personality) and to (your) teaching; persevere in these things (hold
to them), for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who
hear you”.
The failure on our part to look well to ourselves has wrecked us and
many God has placed in our sphere of influence. No wonder Apostle Paul
told Timothy- “Take heed unto thyself …”
It is vital you know as a GospelStar, not everything goes for you and
neither can you live your life like every other person in your
vicinity.
There is a template designed for you of God in His Word (The Bible)
and don’t stop looking to yourself in the mirror of God’s word.
Daniel. 12:3b reads “…, and they that turn many to righteousness as
the stars for ever and ever” This shows to us that faithfulness and
consistency in what we do or how
we live is a powerful tool to be or to remain relevant and resourceful
in God’s hand and even in our society.
So look well to yourself and persevere in your doctrines, Grace to your hearts!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY:
I look well to myself and my teachings. I hold on to the truth of the

And by this I save myself and those hearing me in the name of Jesus Christ.
