Faith Patrick is a Gospel Minister who hails from Edo State. She was born in Lagos and grew up in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. She attended the University of Uyo where she got a degree in Biochemistry.
Her ministry is centered on helping people to be free from self and completely embrace the unconditional love of God.
She started her music career as a member of the children choir of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Akwaibom Province 1, then grew to become a worship leader in the Youth Assembly now known as The City of David RCCG Youth Province 5 . She was a one time Music Director at the Passionate God Ministries at Lagos and Assistant Music director at Victory Chapel, church on campus, University of Uyo.
She has been a back-up singer for Gospel Artistes including Righteous Man, Nathaniel Bassey, Olumide Iyun, Bukola Bekes, Anietie Bature, Paul Ariawhe, and A. Moses. She has also participated in Worship Programs such as The Worship Experience and Invitation to Worship.
Faith Patrick is a God-lover and ‘You Called Me’ is her debut single.
I wrote this song in November 2019. I drew inspiration from reflections on my life, all the happenings, ups and downs, and my imperfections; I realized that God’s unconditional love for me has been consistent.
As a young Christian, I struggled with pleasing God by myself, tried to do good so God would keep loving me; I was trying to earn God’s love and I failed at it over and over, my imperfections caught up with me. Soon, I realized I couldn’t earn God’s love and certainly, ‘His love is not because of what I’ve done, what I’m doing or what I’ll do’.
